Solver Home Page


Solver’s home screen provides users with helpful information and contains a personalized view of their relevant activity in Solver as well as access to the tools at their disposal.

Homepage User Identity

Naming

Each user can have a custom name for their profile. This can be edited by customer administrators within the settings menu under the Users tab.

Adding Branding

Tenant administrators with settings editing access have the ability to put their company branding on the home page within the administration menus.

To add your branding to Solver:

  • Click the Settings menu on the main toolbar.
  • Select the Administration tab.
  • Select the tenant in which you are an administrator.
  • Under the Company Logo section, drag and drop an image or click the box to select an image from your local files.
    • The image must be less than 144×72 and needs to be a .png, .jpeg, or .webp file.

Activity

This section of the homepage will contain cards that are notifications for the user logged into Solver.

This section includes:

  • Solver Announcements
  • Publisher Job Status Notifications
  • Input Flow Progress and Status Notifications
  • Assignment Updates
  • Notifications of a Report Being Shared

The card may include:

  • The Notification Type
  • The Title of the Work Item
  • The Time of When the Notification Was Delivered
  • The Names of Any Other Users Related to the Notification

Users can scroll back and forth through their activity cards using the arrows on the right side of the page and clear the cards by pressing the X on the card.

Note: Notifications that have been cleared from the separate notifications menu will also be cleared from the activity section and vice versa.

Recent

The Recent section of the Solver homepage contains a list of the work items that have been most recently edited or viewed by the user. This list will update every time a user accesses the work item and will show the name, the last time it was opened, and the type of work item it is. The recent list can be filtered by the type of work item by clicking on the icon next to the type column and selecting the boxes of the preferred filters.

Favorites

The Favorites section of the Solver homepage will contain a list of the work items that have been marked as a favorite. This list contains the name and the type of work item. The favorites list may also be filtered by the type of work item by clicking on the icon next to the type column and selecting the boxes of the preferred filters.

Adding favorites is possible by clicking on the favorite button when editing a report or flow.

Copilot

Coming soon to Solver, there will be a new way to get help in the application through the use of the Copilot button.

Notifications

The notifications menu can be found by clicking the notification icon from the top toolbar. Doing so will open a tab with the user’s most recent notifications. This menu also includes a shortcut to the notification settings where users are able to customize the type and destination of their notifications from Solver.

Solver Resources

By selecting the Help icon from the top toolbar, you will open a menu containing links to the various places to get more information and documentation on Solver. This includes:

  • The Solver Academy, where you can register for live or pre-built courses on how to use the Solver Suite.
  • The Solver Product Help site, which contains documentation and help articles.
  • The Solver Support site, where you can view troubleshooting articles and forums to get help with any issues you may experience when using Solver.
  • The About menu, which displays the version number of Solver that you are currently using among other information about the product.

User Options

By selecting your name and icon from the top corner of the page, you will open the User Options menu that includes:

  • A shortcut to your user settings.
  • The ability to view and switch customers.
  • The ability to view and switch tenants.
  • A button to sign out of Solver.

Toolbar

Use this toolbar to access the tools that you have the ability to access in Solver. While using the application, users may collapse the toolbar by clicking on the icon above the Home tab and expand it again with another click.
