Happy October Solver users. This month is another big update across the application. We are bringing you important fixes for integrations and the Data Warehouse, as well as some new additions to the Solver suite that we think you will appreciate. See below for more news and updates.
Solver Copilot:
The first big news is that we are officially announcing Solver Copilot. This is our AI chat tool that brings the information from the product help site, right to the the Solver application interface. For more information on this groundbreaking new addition to Solver, see our Copilot article, here. Try it out today by clicking on the Copilot button at the top right corner of the page.
BC Extension:
Another piece of news that we are happy to share is that we have now officially released the new v3.0 of our D365 Business Central Extension. For more information on how to download this extension and the related release notes, please see this article.
Solver Academy Single Sign-On:
Beginning with this release, our users will now have an updated experience when accessing the Solver Academy courses that are included with their Solver product subscription. Previously, users were able to follow a link, bookmark, or find the Solver Academy through search and log in from that site.
Now, users will be required to access the Academy through the new help experience. This process requires the user to already be logged into the Solver application and no longer demands a separate login to access the academy site.
To access the Solver Academy:
- Log into Solver as you normally would.
- Click the Help button from the top right corner of the page.
- From the options, select Solver Academy.
Users who attempt to access the Academy site using the old method will be shown a screen with redirect information. Look out for an email notification later for more information.
Integration Engine Improvements:
This month we are making some improvements behind the scenes to the integration engine that allows for better performance in most situations when running integrations.
Additional Enhancements and Fixes:
Following the recent update to Solver’s platform that was executed in August, we are now able to bring our users some updates at a quicker pace than before. Starting this month, there will be semi-regular weekly releases that are automatically brought to users without any downtime. However, we will continue with our regularly scheduled monthly updates (the schedule for which can be found here) which will typically contain more significant changes to Solver. These weekly releases will only contain minor changes and will not include any major new features. We at Solver will continue working hard to ensure that you have the smoothest and best experience while using our application.
These fixes will be communicated through a new section at the bottom of our monthly release notes and will be discernable from the main release. We will be constantly updating these pages so be sure to check frequently. These fixes will also be called out in the following month’s release notes which can always be found here.
Homepage:
With last month’s update, our users received a completely redesigned home page experience with some great new functionality. See our article on the new homepage for more information.
Updates to the Solver homepage experience include:
- Quick Access to recently viewed work items.
- Quick access to favorites.
- Emphasized notifications as soon as users log in.
- The ability to add a company logo to the Solver homepage.
- A new help experience with links to Solver Academy, Product Help, and Solver Support and Community can now be found by clicking the help icon on the top toolbar.
