Happy holidays, Solver users. This month’s update brings a variety of fixes to those pesky bugs and the official release of the new Personnel for QuickStart connector. We have curated this release to fulfill all our favorite customers’ wishes and make the Solver experience better and smoother than ever. Read more about these changes below!
This Month’s Changes Include:
QuickStart for Personnel Official Release
This month’s release contains the official launch of Solver’s new QuickStart for Personnel. The goal of QuickStart for Personnel is to standardize and simplify the creation of the Personnel module including payroll and benefits data for employees to improve the planning process.
An Excel file import will be used for the data, and QuickStart will build the module, create the initial structure, add needed dimensions, and import raw data. Users can find instructions on how to properly utilize this connector here or on the documentation attached to the Personnel template in the Marketplace.
QuickStart for Business Central Fixed Assets Module Now Available
This release also contains a new QuickStart feature called Fixed Assets. Right now QuickStart for Fixed Assets will only work with D365 Business Central QuickStart integrations and requires the use of the updated Business Central extension (v3.3) which is coming soon. Please review our article on Fixed Assets or contact Solver Support for more information.
Previous Changes Include:
Business Central Extension
We have now completed an update that allows for an even better experience with our Business Central extension. Previously, this was uploaded to the BC extension marketplace as the Solver CPM extension. Now, we have developed a new version called the Solver xFP&A For Dynamics 365 Business Central extension that best suits our customers’ needs for their BC data. The updates going into this new version can be found in our BC extension release notes here.
Solver Copilot
In October, we released our newest enhancement to the Solver experience in our Solver Copilot Help Chatbot. This is a revolutionary change in our support/product help process that allows users to get the answers to their process and product questions quickly. Please take some time to explore this new feature and leave us some feedback on the responses you receive within the Copilot interface. Read our Copilot article for more information.
Homepage Overhaul
A few months ago we pushed out our biggest change to the Solver welcome experience in a long time with our brand new Homepage experience. This was a massive change in the way that you use Solver including several brand new features. Read our home article for more information about this change.
Solver Academy Single Sign-On
Beginning with the October 2024 release, our users now have an updated experience when accessing the Solver Academy courses that are included with their Solver product subscription. Previously, users were able to follow a link, bookmark, or find the Solver Academy through search and log in from that site.
Now, users will be required to access the Academy through the new help experience. This process requires the user to already be logged into Solver and no longer demands a separate login to access the academy site. For more information about this change, read our October 2024 release notes.
New Mid-Month Releases
Recently, we have begun putting out irregular weekly releases that address bugs that we feel to be important to fix at a quicker cadence than our regular monthly release of fixes and enhancements. Read more about these new types of small releases in our October 2024 release notes. This month may have more of these releases so come back and check this page periodically throughout the next month to see what has been addressed between this release and the next release.
