Welcome to March Solver users! This month brings some great updates that we are excited to provide to you! With this update, we have upgraded the Event Log experience in the Data Warehouse, improved error messaging for Input Templates, and fixed some Reporting and Planning bugs. Read below for more information.
This month also brings the rollout of our Okta authentication compatibility that allows our users to seamlessly sign in to Solver with Okta. Click here for more information on configuring your Solver account to work with Okta.

Licensing Changes
As stated previously, last month’s release included a new type of license called a contributor license as well as a new way to manage licenses and permissions for our administrators. Read more about these changes here.
New Mid-Month Releases
Recently, we have begun putting out irregular weekly releases that address bugs that we feel to be important to fix at a quicker cadence than our regular monthly release of fixes and enhancements. This month may have more of these releases so come back and check this page periodically throughout the next month to see what has been addressed between this release and the next release.
This past month users saw mid-month changes including:
March 13th
- Fixes an issue where in certain circumstances updates to an integration would fail to save properly.
New Features and Enhancements
Reporting
- Added a report or input template description to the information sidebar menu.
- Added the ability for users to view the first cell in an input template that is causing a storage error leading to a failed writeback to the Data Warehouse.
Data Warehouse
- The Event Log summary page now links to a new details page that contains information about each step of a job. This new experience allows for a cleaner Event Log summary page that only has one line item per job.
- Users can navigate to the Job Details page to see each step as well as the run times and results of the rule or integrations.
- These changes help users troubleshoot their errors down to a specific step in the job.

Administration
- Added support for Okta authentication to log in to Solver.
- Users can now log in from the Solver webpage using Okta authentication in addition to Microsoft Entra ID. More information can be found here.

Bug Fixes
Planning
- Fixes an issue where users without permission to complete tasks (Viewer license only) were able to be assigned as a Reviewer or Approver in Workflows.
- Fixes an issue where users were able to create an assignment with a blank parameter.
- Fixes an issue in Workflow where misclicking the Multiple Users checkbox would deselect all users in the dropdown.
- Fixes an issue where the homepage would crash if a user without the permissions to make changes was notified that they were given an assignment.
Reporting
- Fixes an issue with dates being stored and formatted incorrectly in some reports.
- Fixes an issue in Ad Hoc Reporting where the Save As button was not working properly.
- Fixes an issue in Ad Hoc Reporting that some users were experiencing when selecting the Currency or System modules.
- Fixes an issue on the homepage where sometimes users were unable to open a report that was in their Favorites.
- Updated Norwegian/Swedish/Danish translations in Ad Hoc Reporting.
- Fixes an issue where the Details page for a report was not showing the time and date in the correct format.
Data Warehouse
- Fixes an issue with fields in D365 CRM shifting when running an integration, resulting in data issues.
- Fixes an issue where integration tasks were not saving after a user had finished the configuration and published an integration.
Administration
- Fixes an issue where the company logo name was cut off in the administration menus.
