Happy May Solver users! Our update this month has some important bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements to smoothen out your Solver experience.
Just a heads up, our previously announced feature that allows users to hide empty columns when using the drill-down tool (see the December 2023 release notes for more details) will be coming to you in next month’s cloud update. Please contact Solver Support (support@solverglobal.com) if you need to continue to use the existing functionality and have the ability to see the empty columns.
We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you all that Ascend, our user conference, is coming up on your calendars in a few months. This conference is a great opportunity for users to come together to learn and meet with our top representatives about their favorite reporting and planning product. Learn more at the official Ascend website. We hope to see you there! Act before May 31st and save with Early Bird pricing! Contact your Solver Sales representative to find out more.
Bug Fixes
Reporting
- Fixes an issue with charts incorrectly rendering on Input Templates and Report Templates in the web portal.
- Publisher will now display Packages in the same way that Report Templates does, in card or list view, with similar search and sorting options.
Data Warehouse
- Fixes an issue where some users were unable to open modules with large data sets in Data Explorer.
- Fixes an issue that users were experiencing when editing existing fields on modules or dimensions where they were not displaying in the drop-down menu.
- Rate types are now sorted alphabetically.
- Improved the performance of the Dimension Overview screen when not using a saved view.
- Fixes an issue where the entity title was too big to read. The drop-down has been made larger to easily read long titles.
Administration
- Dates and times will now be localized correctly in Templates Changes, Assignments, Ad Hoc Reporting (dates shown in list view), Planning Security (modified date), and Template History.
