This article will detail key features of the Solver Gateway. The Solver Gateway allows for automated integrations between your on premise SQL data source and Solver Cloud.

The Solver Gateway allows for easy configuration of a connection between Solver and your SQL database. It offers:

  1. Secure TLS 1.2 encrypted communication between Solver and your on prem system.

Pre-Requirements and User Permissions

To create an integration to Solver Cloud using the Gateway users must have Can Manage Integration permissions. Please reference this article on how to grant permissions.

Creating your first Gateway Integration

The first couple step when creating a Gateway integration are unique and are documented below. After selecting your connection the steps are similar to configuring any integration and can be found in this article.

After installing the Gateway, navigate to Solver and log in.

  1. Once logged in Navigate to Data > Integrations and choose Solver Gateway.
  2. Click Add New
  3. The connection drop-down will appear, select the connection you have just create and click Next.

Need To Know Consideration

The Solver Gateway can be an effective and fast way to upload data to Solver. However, with any data upload process, the size of data you are uploading/streaming to Solver should be taken into consideration. Your SQL views/tables are recommended to have the following properties

  1. Less than 1.5 million transactions
  2. Return the full data set in less than 10min
