Hello Solver Users! We have a huge update for you this month with a ton of new features and fixes. This update includes a new version of the Business Central Extension (v2.4.3), a Delta Load feature that will speed up your data-heavy Jobs, A new Standard Dimension feature for all of your favorite ERPs, and much more!

New Features and Enhancements

Data Warehouse

  • Added a new feature to Job configuration called Delta Loads. This is available to specific connectors and for specific objects. A list of these and setup instructions can be found here. We recommend that all customers update their Jobs to utilize this feature to improve the speed of their data loads. Users should also ensure that their connectors have been updated to the latest version by going to the Integrations menu in the Data Warehouse and viewing their connector version.
  • Added a new feature called Standard Dimensions. Solver’s new Standard Dimension feature adds the ability for users to standardize the names of their Dimensions within the Solver application. This has been done in order to allow more users to have the opportunity to utilize the pre-set templates that have been created for you within the Solver Template Marketplace found in the portal. This feature makes your data more compatible with these templates to create a seamless experience for QuickStart customers when running your reports and creating integrations. Now you will be able to use more templates that contain many more dimensions that are common among your ERPs.
  • Added a business rule to remove duplicate transactions when reclassifying or changing dimension values of data within the Data Warehouse.
  • Improved the performance of the Acumatica connector when working with periods that contain thousands of rows of data.
  • Added a drill back URL to the BC Extension and QuickStart for BC.
    • This feature can be configured by:
      • Updating the integration task mapping to include a URL field.
      • Running the template, then select Drilldown > General Ledger Detail.
      • Clicking on the URL hyperlink.
      • Viewing the entry in D365.

Reporting

  • Added support for custom currency formatting in report packages.

Administration

  • Additional translations for the Danish language on multiple menus.

Planning

  • Fixes an issue where the period dropdown menu in assignments was displaying duplicate periods without the months.

Reporting

  • Fixes an issue where in some cases reports were not bringing back the correct data when being run using multiple dimension filters.
  • Fixes several issues with accounting formatting including:
    • If the measure is set to Accounting format and cell format has symbols turned off, the commas are lost.
    • If using a formula on a measure (OSRGET…)*10, if there are trailing zeros, those are cut off but should be returned.
    • There is a discrepancy between the number of digits you’ll see in the web version of Excel, these should be synced.
    • Negative values cannot use ( ) to indicate negative and instead must use a negative symbol.

Data Warehouse

  • Fixes an issue where longer dimension attribute names would cover the filter icon on the Dimension Members page.
  • Fixes an issue where the dropdown for Multiple Entities was not displaying currency codes that did not contain a description.
  • Requires an BC extension update to v2.4.3
    • Fixes an issue that users were experiencing when querying SalesInvoiceHeaders.
