A significant update to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) is scheduled with the 2027 Wave 1 update, This update will impact Solver customers using the D3545 Business Central (OData) connector, commonly referred to as Solver D365 BC v1 Connector. This article outlines the announced changes, their potential impact, and what steps users should take to prepare.
Overview of the Announced Changes
Microsoft has announced the end for support for accessing object type “Page” via the OData service with the BC 2027 Wave 1 update. Solver integrations referencing this object type will no longer work after this update to Business Central, anticipated April 2027.
For more detailed information, refer to Microsoft’s official announcement.
- While Microsoft has confirmed these changes, there is a possibility of delays. Solver recommends that users verify whether their integrations will be impacted as soon as possible and stay up to date with announcements from both Microsoft and Solver regarding these changes in the coming months.
- This update is not limited to just the Solver application. Any extraction of data from these endpoints will be impacted, whether via Solver or some other application.
How to Check If Your Integrations Are Impacted
This announcement impacts users using the D365 Business Central (OData) connector in Solver. Integrations created using Solver’s D365 Business Central (APIv2) connector are not impacted by this change.
To determine if your integrations will be affected, follow these steps:
- Log in to Business Central.
- Click the search icon at the top right corner of the landing page.
- Search for “Web Services” and select the result.
- Select the Object Type header to sort the results into categories.
- Locate the section for object types labeled as “Pages.”
- Review the listed pages.

Once you have reviewed this list:
- Log in to Solver.
- Navigate to the Data Warehouse.
- Locate each of your Business Central v1 integrations.
- Edit an integration by selecting it and clicking the pencil icon in the toolbar.
- In the Task Manager step, review the items in the Source column and compare them to the list of Pages you noted in Business Central.
- Repeat this review for each Business Central v1 integration.
Next Steps
If your integrations use any of the affected objects, it is important to begin planning actions taken to address this issue. At this time, Solver sees two options that users can pursue:
- Migrate from pages to queries: this option requires you to work with a technical resources and/or your Business Central partner that is familiar with AL Language and the D365 Business Central schema to recreate the page data as a query.
- Switch your integrations to Solver’s D365 Business Central (APIv2) connector: Solver D365 Business Central APIv2 connector is another option that can be explored here. This option is good for accessing “typical” data out of your Business Central environment but cannot access your customization.
