Solver Gateway Requirements

Solver Gateway creates a secure connection between Solver Cloud and on-premises data sources including:

The Solver Gateway requires the following system configuration. It is important to note that a gateway install is per tenant, so if you have purchased 2+ tenants, you must have 2+ machines.

Windows 8.1+
Recommend to install on a server with a service account
RamMin 16GB ramData uploads can be ram intensive, the larger your data uploads to Solver, additional ram may be required on this machine.

It is not uncommon for these machines to have additional software and anti-virus software than can take up ram resources. We recommend a dedicated 16gb+ that the Gateway can have access to.

Other InformationOne gateway install per tenantFor organizations choosing to use SQL as a data source, the Gateway server must be able to communicate with the SQL server (default port 1433)

The Solver Gateway connects to multiple Solverglobal URLs. Providing a wildcard for any solverglobal.com URL ensures that this machine is compatible with Solver Cloud URLs today and in the future. If you need specific URLs, please contact Solver Support.

Solver Hybrid Agent Requirements

Solver Hybrid Agent allows organizations to create a secured connection between Solver Cloud and supported, on-premises data sources (“supported ERPS”) including:

Notes: ERP budgeting supports budget write-back from Solver to that ERPs General Ledger table only except for SAP B1.

SAP B1 budget write-back writes budget transactions back to tables created by the Solver application on the SAP database. Organizations can then create an SAP B1 budget import form of this data, importing these numbers into SAP B1.

Solver’s Hybrid Agent requires the following, minimum system configuration:
